“you can’t out train a bad diet”…
You cannot out train a bad diet. There has never been a truer sentence spoken. How many times have you heard (or said) “With the way you work out, you can eat whatever you want.” Or how about “I trained hard today, so I deserve this hot fudge sundae.” I could train you until you are begging for mercy seven days a week, but unless you get a handle on what you put in your mouth ….there will be no magic baby! Think about it: Even if you are with me for an hour a day, every day, that leaves 161 hours in the week for you to sabotage your efforts.
B.E.N has developed a holistic health and fitness program designed with performance as the barometer of excellence. CrossFit is the principal training regime to achieve the fitness goals you desire but your nutrition has to be pretty damn solid to achieve athletic excellence.

I’m sure you know that new studies, reports and advances in nutrition come out all the time. It can be difficult to know what is a true “new discovery” verses a fad. No worries! Here is the basic plan for what I call Optimal Wellness:
- Meats and vegetables
- Nuts and seeds
- Some fruit(antioxidant rich berries)
- Very little starch
- 0 sugar
